SAINT PAUL, February 28, 2022 – American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET), a leading provider of geotechnical, environmental, and forensic engineering; materials engineering and testing, petrography/chemistry services, and building sciences, announced today the acquisition of Northern Technologies, LLC (NTI), an engineering firm with complementary service lines. Effective February 28, 2022, staff from all NTI offices will become part of the AET team.
This acquisition will strengthen AET’s North Dakota presence with new offices in Fargo, Bismarck, and Grand Forks and will fortify the existing AET St Paul, Minnesota location with new staff.
“The former NTI employees bring a broad range of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing capabilities, along with a culture and commitment to teamwork, and client service comparable to our own,” said Dan Larson, AET’s CEO. “We welcome these talented professionals to the AET Team and will provide them with an environment where they can flourish”.

We see this acquisition as a growth opportunity that will enable us to better serve existing and new clients throughout the Dakotas and Minnesota.
This acquisition is in line with the firm’s history of strategic expansion. The acquisition adds about 40 employees to the AET team.
