Since the end of 2016, nine members of the AET team have received their Professional Engineer (PE) License, they are:
Liang has geotechnical engineering experience with a particular emphasis in embankments, retaining structures, and deep foundations. At AET, Liang has performed numerical modeling, specialty testing, geotechnical instrumentation, and report preparation for his clients. He also started his project management role since obtaining his license.
Chris is a pavements and materials engineer specializing in pavement investigation and rehabilitation projects. In this role, Chris performs pavement analysis and design, researches pavement rehabilitation and asphalt aging, facilitates AET’s vibration monitoring program and designs and oversees the construction of CIR and SFDR pavements. He also assists with laboratory testing of granular and bituminous materials and performs non-destructive field testing of various pavements.
Tommy is based out of AET’s Dickinson, ND office. He specializes in geotechnical services for infrastructure, foundations and utilities and communications projects. His engineering work includes excavation observations, asphalt concrete coring and laboratory testing and field observations of construction materials, soils and plastic concrete. Tommy is also ND/DOT and ACI certified.
Jake is a geotechnical engineer based in our Rochester, Minnesota office. He provides planning, coordination and geotechnical engineering review services for commercial, industrial and transportation structures projects in the region. Jake has geotechnical engineering experience with a particular focus on deep foundations, earth retaining structures, and construction over expansive soils.
Brad is an engineer in our construction services group. He specializes in commercial and transportation related projects. Brad provides our clients with foundation, mass excavation and bedrock excavation observations, construction field testing of soils and concrete, reinforcing steel and anchor bolts inspections, observations of driven and helical pile foundation systems, and general field engineering/project management. Brad is also MnDOT and ACI certified.
William is a staff engineer for our construction services group and serves as a special inspector and field engineer on both transportation and commercial construction projects. He also provides soil engineering observations, field testing using Troxler nuclear gauges/sand cones/DCP’s, as well as bituminous and concrete paving inspection, testing, and sampling. William recently took on the responsibility as AET’s Qest Coordinator. Qest is AET’s test reporting system that delivers our reports to the client. William is also MnDOT and ACI certified.
Jacob is a project manager in our pavement services group. He specializes in geotechnical services for transportation related projects, pavement rehabilitation methods/design, soil stabilization including cement, lime, and emulsion and asphalt recycling methods.
Eric is a project engineer in our geotechnical services group and is based out of our Sioux Falls, SD office. He has his Masters of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from South Dakota State University and is also a licensed PE in the state of Ohio. Eric specializes in planning, providing and coordinating geotechnical investigations and subsurface investigations for commercial buildings, major roadways, highway bridges, water and communication towers, and refinery plants.
