Dave Rettner, AET’s President and Chief Growth Officer Retires

After 20 remarkable years with AET, our President and Chief Growth Officer, David Rettner, has decided to retire at the end of this year. Dave’s tenure at AET—from Principal Engineer to SVP to President to Chief Growth Officer—has been marked by a relentless focus on technical excellence and expanding AET’s reach and capabilities.

Throughout his career, which began at MnDOT in 1985 as an assistant pavement engineer, Dave has pioneered many pavement-related initiatives. He was instrumental in advocating for and implementing MnROAD, a pavement test track that provides detailed pavement performance data and has received national recognition. Upon joining Team AET, Dave established our Design-Build Program and Pavement Department, which now serves the industry nationwide.

Over the last year, Dave has been critical in leading AET’s client engagement and growth strategies while overseeing quality, innovation, and business development. His efforts in these areas will help guide AET well into the future. Dave’s contributions to AET have been immense and he will be greatly missed.

Over the next few months, Dave will continue to lead AET’s growth and client engagement efforts and serve as an advisor across teams as he transitions his relationships and vast industry knowledge. Please join us in congratulating Dave on an exceptional career and wishing him well in this next chapter, wherever it may be.
