We’re pleased to welcome Jacob E. Hiller, Ph.D. to the Pavement Department in St Paul. He will serve as a Senior Engineer and Technical Advisor on pavement projects.
Jake’s expertise includes research and implementation of mechanistic-empirical design and rehabilitation of pavements, pavement sustainability, recycled concrete, fatigue and fracture, stress relaxation and creep, accelerated pavement testing, and environmental impacts of paving materials.
Jake has over 25 years of experience in higher education and engineering, focusing on materials, mechanics, and performance of concrete and asphalt pavements. Most recently, he held the position of Associate Professor, teaching about pavements, construction materials, mechanics, and transportation-related topics at Michigan Technological University.
