Jenna Vujic shared case studies to give ideas and advice on ways to reduce risk associated with petroleum contaminated soil when planning and managing upcoming projects. She co-presented with Amy Miller, MPCA Public Works Program Coordinator, a brown bag lunch and learn for a local engineering firm in Mankato. Public works projects often encounter petroleum contaminated soil that originated from storage tanks, which often results in more time and money needed to get the job done right. Potential risks include human exposure to contaminants, impacts to the environment, and unwelcomed project delays.

Jenna is an Environmental Engineer with American Engineering Testing, Inc. in Mankato, Minnesota. She earned a master’s degree in geological/geophysical engineering and has helped clients manage risk at contaminated sites for more than 150 small to medium projects; projects involving the investigation and cleanup of petroleum and agricultural chemical contamination, which required a results-driven approach and streamlined operations.
